You may not have heard the name Caetano Veloso before, but in his home country of Brazil he’s a big deal. Over the course of his 45-year career, the singer-songwriter, musician, and political activist has released 33 studio albums and achieved acclaim throughout the world. To celebrate his 70th birthday, covers of some of his most popular songs are being released in the form of A Tribute To Caetano Veloso, which will hit stores on October 22 via Universal. Amongst the artists on the album is none other than Beck, who chose to put his own spin on the moving “Michelangelo Antonioni,” named for the famous Italian film director.
