Azealia Banks was all set to release “Esta Noche” as an official single today, a track that previously featured from her recent mixtape Fantasea. This drop however, was news to the track’s producer Munchi, who claims the Azealia camp had not reached out for his permission to use as an official release until after the official single decision had been made. The Rotterdam producer affiliated to the likes of Mad Decent and Trap-A-Holics took to his Twitter account to vent his frustrations in a tirade against Banks. Stating:
“Tell your camp the deal is off I don’t want your fucking $25.000. Fuck off. Go be a puppet bitch to someone else.”
Banks then responded on Twitter by stating that the single release had been pulled back due to Munchi’s words:
“k so esta noche won’t be being released today because @originalmunchi thinks I’m in the illuminati… I’m being very serious right now. I’m cracking up right now… This is a first.”
Her statement gives recourse that the single was still being released but was simply being put on hold, and went on to say that a video was being shot the next day for it as scheduled. In the meantime, listen to the track in question below and stay tuned for an update.
