Frequently, when artists record for projects, there are extra songs that come out of the sessions that don’t quite fit—sonically or physically—onto the product. That’s what happened when Austin, Texas-based indie rock band White Denim went into the studio last year to lay down their Takes Place In Your Work Space EP. But instead of shelving the extra material or saving it for their next project, the group decided to give out two tracks that didn’t make the cut.
