Sigur Rós - Varúð (Valtari' Mystery Film Experiment)

With the latest entry to their Mystery Film Experiment series, Sigur Rós now shares their sixth video installment which revisits their single “Varúð.” After director Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir shared his video for the tune, we now see photographer and short-film creator Ryan McGinley’s visual take. McGinley’s video finds a bright-haired little girl skipping her way through Manhattan, as time stops yet she alone keeps on moving. The director shares about the video, saying:

This piece is my poem to New York City. I wanted to bring a childhood innocence to the streets, through a character whose own light and wonder effects the world around her. I’m always interested in an atmosphere where dreams and reality mingle on equal terms.
