Reigning Champ — the Vancouver-based basics label — has yet, perhaps, to be unseated when it comes to cleverly simple, comfortable garments in fleece, cotton and terry. Part of the draw of clothing and fashion, however, is the lifestyle associated with wearing a particular brand or style, and the lookbook component of Reigning Champ’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection perfectly showcases the relaxed, outdoor way of life that its apparel embodies. Shot at an array of suburban locations, the season’s offerings — twill terry hoodies and crewnecks, matching sweatpants, alpine heather knits, along with its Converse collaboration — are photographed in black and white, accentuating the deceptive simplicity of the garments and the ease at which they are incorporated into a variety of daily activities. The entire collection will be available at their just-launched website and online store, now offering customers a purchasing option that is as convenient and comfortable as slipping on one of their sweaters.
