With a stunning view like that it’s hard to go wrong really. Perched atop the Redcliffs on a sloped site in Port Hill, this angular house is Andrew Watson’s home in Christchurch, New Zealand. It literally presents a bird’s eye view of the beach and Kaikoura Ranges afar, unhindered by the full glass windows surrounding the living area and spacious balcony. The hillside home also serves as a gallery for Watson’s mother’s original art collection, ushering in guests with full views of the estuary from the main entrance. The tiered architecture then leads down to a lovely pool, providing a smartly designed suntrap shaded from the icy east winds.
