Tonight the mean streets of Copenhagen, Denmark welcomed hometown hero Norse Projects for a special sunset Backyard BBQ Party. Set within the back courtyard of the brand’s Copenhagen-based showroom, the cookout invited close friends and family to partake in plenty of Absolut Vodka, Tuborg brews, grilled meats, salad and Danish favorites to go around. Somewhat coinciding with the ongoing Copenhagen Fashion Week that is taking place in town, the Norse Projects camp took a decidedly different approach welcoming everyone into a laid back environment that focused less on fashion jargon and more on quality conversation and a good community than anything else.
One of the most notable elements of the night was the carefully curated soundtrack for the outdoor vibe that saw personal playlists that were put together by the likes of Mark McNairy, Fraser Cooke, Shepard Fairey, Nike, London’s The Goodhood Store and The Hideout Store, Michael Dupouy, BBC Radio, nanamica, Michael Kopelman, SOTO Berlin, Todd James, and a plethora of others. The tunes were played out of the back of a rigged up bicycle speaker. Each table at the event was also fully equipped with disposable point-and-shoot cameras for guests to lay claim to. Only time will tell what kind of pictures are developed from those rolls. As the ongoing CIFF and Gallery exhibitions in town are taking place, the Norse Projects Backyard BBQ Party was a welcome distraction from the trade show madness and chaos.
