He just seems to be too fond of controversy, especially when it comes to New York City – the place where he was arrested in 2007 and convicted in 2009 on gun possession charges. It is also the same city where he decided to pull out his label mate Nicki Minaj from this year’s Hot 97 summer jam festivities, after having been disrespected by radio personality Peter Rosenberg. Weezy helped Ms. Minaj organizing an intimate concert at the Roseland Ballroom in order to compensate her fans for disappearing at summer jam.
