The Ariel Motor Company in England created their Atom series of high performance sports cars to be fast and equally powerful, but 700 horsepower-powerful? Unlikely as it may seem, the sports car modification experts at DDMWorks in South Carolina managed to nearly triple the horsepower of the stock Atom with this TwinCharged 700-HP mod. The ‘TwinCharged’ moniker comes from the turbocharger and supercharger powering the Ecotec 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. In addition to the engine, the Atom’s internals needed significant upgrading to manage all the ridiculous power output, including a custom air-to-water heat exchange, ceramic-coated pistons, H-beam Carrillo rods and ARP hardwear throughout the build.
