Having been around since 1934, Ateliers Heschung have developed quite the understanding and know-how in handcrafting some of the finest shoes of this era. Made in its Alsace, France workshop, the 2012 fall/winter collection incorporates three-millimeter-thick leather welts, 12-ply natural linen thread, and mountain-style shoelace ball hooks. Shown from its latest 20-piece collection is the Parkia, Meleze and Cypres models — all of which feature either Suportlo waterproof calfskin leather or the extremely resilient Yucatan leather. Sure to last through many cold winters, these boots range from €475 EUR-€570 EUR (approximately $595-$715 USD) and can be found at the Ateliers Heschung online store.
