A label that has always showcased an affinity for blending both technical elements alongside contemporary fashion-geared aesthetics, the latest footwear iteration from Y-3 arrives in the form of a Fall/Winter 2012 Grey Suede Held Sneaker. Earning its “Held” moniker from a secured leather and nylon strap that encloses the mid-vamp of the shoe, the pair is mocked up in predominantly tonal grey suede and juxtaposed with hits of black accents and metal hardware. Augmenting the street-ready appeal, traditional outdoor footwear staples play into the silhouette via a padded ankle panel, hike boot hardware, and a mesh detail midsole. Availability is now offered through SSENSE with a retail of $450 USD.
