Started in 2006 by Paul Darnell and his friend, Los Angeles-based Tempest Freerunning was founded in Blacksburg, VA, with the intention of bringing freerunning and parkour to the forefront in the same way that skateboarding had changed the traditional “sports” landscape. In a way that few have been able to accomplish, Tempest Freerunning has drastically changed the sport and opened up freerunning to an entirely new audience across all generations.
