Virtually blacked-out timepieces continue to make a statement through all price points including a recent effort from Richard Mille. The RM 032 “Dark Diver” shares similar characteristics to its inline RM 032 Automatic Chronograph which in itself is an engineering feat. Given the amount of pressure underwater, this can often inadvertently activate the chronograph function. With this in mind Richard Mille has designed a locking crown that removes the possibility of any accidental activation. With all this talk of waterproofing, the watch is good up the 300 meters. The “Dark Diver” comes in a relatively large bezel at 50mm which suits the $140,000 USD price. The watch is available exclusively at Richard Mille Boutique Beverly Hills with a limited run of 30 pieces.
