Offered today is the full album stream of Metric’s fifth album Synthetica, which comes out on June 12 via MMI/MOM+POP. The 10-track project is the followup to 2009’s Fantasies and deals, according to frontwoman Emily Haines, who wrote in a letter to fans in late February, about intensive self-reflection.
“is about forcing yourself to confront what you see in the mirror when you finally stand still long enough to catch a reflection. Synthetica is about being able to identify the original in a long line of reproductions. It’s about what is real vs what is artificial.”
