After this year’s Coachella performance by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, music fans everywhere knew that following Tupac’s hologram appearance, other deceased artists may also get the treatment and be able to perform once again. Today reports have come in that the “King of Rock and Roll,” Elvis Presley, may be the next artists up to return to the stage, as Digital Domain Media Group, the creators of the Tupac Shakur hologram, announced an exclusive deal with the Core Media Group. Elvis Presley Enterprises is now a division within Core Media, and the deal has both parties agreeing to jointly produce a series of “virtual” Elvis likenesses for a range of entertainment projects such as film, television and in other venues. Jack Soden, president and CEO of Elvis Presley Enterprises, shares:
His lifelong fans will be thrilled all over again, and new audiences will discover the electric experience of Elvis the performer. The high level of quality entertainment that both Core Media Group and Digital Domain deliver gives us great confidence that these projects will help continue the growth of Elvis’ rich legacy all over the world.
This may be the first of many artists to make returns via hologram, let us know what you think about it down below.
