Matte finishes aren’t an everyday occurrence in the auto world, but BMW is set to change that by giving their M3 and M5 coupes this super-limited M Performance Edition treatment. In addition to a bevy of under-the-hood upgrades, this special edition package wraps both the M3 and the M5 in the chilled hues of Frozen Red, Frozen White and Frozen Blue, rolling on cool matte black alloy rims. The inky black leather interiors feature color-keyed accent stitching and Alcantara-wrapped steering wheels. Unfortunately, production of the M Performance Edition won’t be significant enough to bring the Frozen colorways into the mainstream, as BMW is only making 30 of each M coupe and limiting those editions exclusively to the British market. However, if demand is strong enough, it’s quite possible BMW would bring “Frozen” into a larger market later on down the line.
