Initial reports from Cult of Mac indicate a source who has seen the long-awaited Apple HDTV that people have been pining for. Supposedly designed to look like their LED-backlit Cinema Displays, it has a built-in iSight camera for FaceTime video conference calls – with facial recognition and the ability to zoom into the user’s face and follow them as they walk around the room – as well as Siri’s trusty assistance. For comment, Cult of Mac reached out to TV analyst Paul Gagnon, Director of North American TV Research for NPD DisplaySearch, who said he didn’t have any hard information, but expects Apple to introduce a line of TVs this year. There will likely be two to four models ranging from 40-inches to 60-inches – with a suspected retail price of between $1,000-$2,000 USD.
