Yet another litigation situation settled for Lil Wayne. According to TMZ, Tunechi has come to an agreement with producer David Kirkwood over a $1.5 million lawsuit. Back in 2011, Kirkwood filed the suit against Wayne’s, Young Money Entertainment imprint, and Cash Money Records for non-payment over the song “Love Me or Hate Me,” off Tha Carter III. Lil Wayne initially fought back, asking a judge to dismiss the case but then decided to settle out of court with Kirkwood for an undisclosed amount.
This sure is not the first case of Weezy being hit with a lawsuit over non-payment. As previously reported, producer Darius “Deezle” Harrison hit YMCMB with a $20 million suit over his work on “Mrs. Officer” and “Lollipop.” In this case as well, both parties settled the matter by a confidential payment agreement.
