Design studio Humans Since 1982 are known for frequently taking common household objects and reinterpreting their use in clever and artistic ways. For Victor Hunt Gallery the group continued this theme through a number of various means, ranging from the ‘clock clock white’ – a series of 24 clocks whose hands work together to tell one singular time – to the ‘single surveillance light,’ crafted from a surveillance camera. Presented at Design Miami Basel, the collection of pieces is centered around a theme intended to demonstrate the way in which objects can be altered to change their relationships to the viewer, while also being aesthetically beautiful and modern.
