While currently spending countless hours in the studio crafting his forthcoming album, Devonte Hynes aka Blood Orange drops his new visual for “I’m Sorry We Lied.” The Essex-born, New York City-based artist recruited the talents of Abteen Bagheri to visualize the energetic tune. The clip centers around Hynes succumbing to a femme fatale while dedicating himself to his dear hobby of night riding motorcycle. Bagheri drew inspiration from classic ’80s noirs like Near Dark, The Wraith, and the Coen Brothers’ debut, Blood Simple, and even used footage of American Ninja 4, which was fortuitously playing on the motel television while filming. Enjoy!
