Continuing our series, Pen & Paper – which kicked off with German graffiti artist Flying Fortress – we offer a look into the sketchbook of the Bay Area’s own, Aaron De La Cruz. Famous for his unplanned, almost computer-generated grid-like systems, De La Cruz successfully showcased his first ever solo show at the Loft in Space Gallery in Hawaii this past October and was also featured at POW WOW Hawai’i 2012 in February. Earning credibility as one of the must-follow artists on Instagram (aarondelacruz), the Californian’s sketchbook is complete with his signature, labyrinth-like abstract designs. “Stay Gold” my friends.
