The Fisheye-Nikkor 6mm f/2.8 lens, first produced in 1970 at the Photokina trade show in Cologne, holds the distinction of not only offering an angle of view of 220º, but also being known at the time as the world’s most “extreme wide-angle” lens. The lens officially went into production in 1972 and uses 12 glass elements in nine groups with a total weight of 5.2kg.
