Mutation Series Furniture by Maarten De Ceulaer

Belgian designer Maarten De Ceulaer debuts the organically-inspired “Mutation Series” Furniture. As the name implies, the series drew its form via the visuals recalled from natural processes of cell mutation. Building upon foundations of iconic sofa and chair models, the series sees a buttoned, Chesterfield-inspired sofa along with chair iterations that give nod to the classic Eames. Made from a tactile rubber or velvet-like finish, the Mutation Series represents an expert balance between new school contemporary design built upon timeless tradition and function.
