Smims&Belle, a DJ project from Mark Foster and Isom Innis of Foster the People fame, have made a big splash as a newly formed duo for a remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Blue Jeans” featuring an assist from Harlem emcee Azealia Banks. The high-energy offering is a blending of several different genres of music – including electro, techno and splashes of hip-hop – all of which come together to work in a harmonious affair. While the “sound” is anything you’d come to expect from members of Foster the People, recruiting two of the most buzzed-about female artists is certainly a step in the right direction when exploring a passion project.
