The Greek city of Carthage is the center of inspiration for the Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Dutch label, Guy Vernes, and the street fashion house is following through in a big way. Not to be mistaken for the Carthage that exists today, the brand instead pulls from the whitewashed Mediterranean empire of trade and culture that it once was. All of the collection’s T-shirts, chino shorts, summer blazers, and all the summer essentials follow a clear aesthetic of playful summer hues, and warm tones that aim to capture the classical sense of culture and wonder for which the brand is best known. The line will be available in its entirety from the Guy Vernes online store, starting Friday, April 27.
