KENZO x Vans 2012 Spring/Summer Era Preview

Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, whom you may know as owners of the popular New York boutique Opening Ceremony, recently became the new creative directors of KENZO – a brand once known for being one of the few Japanese designers to open a Parisian boutique in the late 1970s. As the new creative voices of the brand, Lim and Leon are looking to push the boundaries of high fashion by including pieces normally associated with city streets rather than runways. As such, the newest collection from KENZO features bold Vans Era sneakers, which boast a chain-link graphic and color-blocking in red/green as well as blue/white. There is no set release date for the sneakers quite yet, but expect more information and images about these very soon.
