Jesper Kouthoofd: IKEA KNAPPA Cardboard Digital Camera

The IKEA PS (post scriptum) collection is the Swedish brand’s carefully curated, design-centric line of products created in collaboration with various independent designers, only once every several years. For the 2012 PS furniture, lighting and accessories collection, IKEA continues to reaffirm the importance of real design in real homes, but in a manner that is genuine, environmentally friendly and affordable. Like the cardboard digital camera, from designer Jesper Kouthoofd, who believes the camera is a true link between that real design, and the inspiration of its end-user. The USB-accessed camera holds up to 40 photos, and uses only two AAA batteries set into its ingeniously flat-packed cardboard body. The PS collection is available now, at IKEA stores worldwide.
