It’s difficult to fathom anyone conquering more creative avenues than Pharrell “Skateboard P” Williams. From marching bands to chart-topping records, from a simplistic streetwear brand to luxury-designer collaborations, Pharrell’s list of encompassing ventures spans an array of industries, reaching new heights in product design, website platforms, music, fashion, movies, art, and whatever else he decides to master in his 25th hour. Just this past year alone, the super-producer became the Creative Director for KarmaloopTV, presented his own sculpture series, opened a youth center in his hometown, launched a liqueur named QREAM, helped style and score the Academy Awards, of course produce some of the biggest hits in hip-hop, and much more. Having participated in this past weekend’s Liberatum Hong Kong International Festival of Culture, Pharrell linked up with the HYPEBEAST team to advance our popular Essentials series. The Virgina native displays an affinity for high-end, expertly-crafted products, with Chanel being among the favorites. The creative took a paint pen to his 6” Timberlands adding a Chanel logo, skeleton toes, personal motifs and more. Rounding out his daily collection is an enticing display of jewelry including pieces from the famous jeweler, Jacob & Co., A Bathing Ape x Daiwa “A Fishing Ape” Lures, and a Cartier Aldo Cipullo Vintage Nail Cuff. Stay tuned, as HBTV will present a recap to the aforementioned festival in Hong Kong accompanied by footage of the alluring visionary himself.
