After getting a look at the photo recap yesterday, a video follows from Cai Guo Qiang’s exhibition at the MOCA in Los Angeles. One piece that certainly captured the attention of those privileged enough to attend the opening was “Mystery Circle” – an installation featuring 40,000 rockets attached to the outer wall at The Geffen Contemporary. Qiang has long since been known for his fiery displays that combine firepower with artistic vision, but his latest is truly awe-inspiring to witness from the variety of different vantage points in director Felipe Lima’s video. To see is to truly believe.
