Yadi - Gold (The Shining Remix)

Hannah Yadi, or YADi for short, isn’t like other pop musicians. Poised, petite and powerful. Her songs are all built around rhythmic, almost tribal drum tracks and marching beats that herald soaring, deftly-created melodies. The Shining remix of her track “Gold” features an uptempo and synth-heavy dream-pop flip of all the stomping beats and jangling percussion. It deals with a deeply personal family tragedy but is constructed like a short film, focusing on “greed and promoting materialism at the cost of human lives.” Yadi put together an animated video to go with it that is comprised entirely of her own designs. Her Guillotine EP will be available on iTunes on the 2nd of April and released on Vinyl on the 14th of May.
