Brooklyn-based Outlier has carved out a unique cyclist-oriented market by creating classically

Brooklyn-based Outlier has carved out a unique cyclist-oriented market by creating classically tailored designs out of technically advanced fabrics. Their upcoming sneaker collaboration with the footwear makers at FEIT remains faithful to those traditions — marking the second time these brands have worked together. Both brands are dedicated to eschewing the modern standard of mass-production in favor of a careful adherence to traditional, product-driven design and production. Together, they’ve created the handmade Supermarines Sneaker out of Supermarine and Supima cottons. Both are military-grade fabrics offering superlative water resistance and breathability. While the upper resembles a clean, urban cycling sneaker, the rest of the shoe follows certain dress shoe traditions: the French calf leather lines the inner, and a full-length vegetable-tanned leather completes the outsole. The shoes are sewn together using the time-honored Goodyear welt construction. While the shoes aren’t expected to ship until summer, you can immediately take advantage of a special $290 pre-order pricing offer at Outlier.
