General Idea menswear lead designer, Burnsuk Choi took inspiration from a unique source towards designing his Fall/Winter 2012 collection, titled “After Games.” Inspired by the fit and varied functionality of sports uniforms, Choi gathered archival photography of hockey uniforms and the teams who wore them during the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France. This is evidenced in the contemporary trousers with knee pads, parkas with quilted fabric patches, and the collection’s varsity jackets. Utilitarian heavy-duty winter boots, and a performance sneaker collaboration with Head rounds out the collection.
