By now, you probably know that Earl Sweatshirt is home and has been in the studio with his Odd Future Wolf Gang. But yesterday, finally on The OF Tape Vol. 2 album release day, it was revealed that Sweatshirt is fully back with his crew. To start the day off, the music video for the Gang’s 10-minute-long “Oldie” made its debut, showing that Sweatshirt is back in the mix with his friends and having a blast. Then, he and Tyler, the Creator stopped by Peter Rosenberg’s show on Hot 97 for Sweatshirt’s first real interview ever. To cap off the historic day, OFWGKTA took over New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom for a sold out show and brought out Sweatshirt to perform some songs. Upon his return to stage, the crowd erupted with excitement. As he rapped the fan favorites “Orange Juice” and “Kill,” the audience fired back with with every one of the 18-year-old’s signature tongue-twisting lyrics. There’s no word on whether or not he’ll tag along for any more dates on Odd Future’s Spring 2012 world tour. But regardless, it’s a pleasure seeing the young, talented MC back on stage. Whether or not you’re an Odd Future fan, there’s no doubt that the above videos capture a monumental moment.
