Paying homage to the quattro permanent four-wheel drive and and its significance in the early years of Audi Motorsport, the German brand has revived its R18 e-tron Quattro model. Not only being important in a historic sense, this announcement has also makes the R18 e-tron Quattro the first entrant in the illustrious Le Mans endurance race as a diesel hybrid. Ultra-lightweight materials and a 510hp V6 engine developed by Audi in combination with a four-wheel drive system including one axle powered electrically make the performance of the car in this year’s Le Mans a contentious issue.
