The Sex Pistols have signed with Universal Music Catalogue UK, part of Universal Music Group – the world’s largest record label – who will release the British punk rock group’s genre-defining classic LP, Never Mind The Bollocks Here’s The Sex Pistols. More than 35 years since the album’s inception, Universal plans to coincide the release with a number of events to mark the anniversary. Lead singer Johnny Rotten modestly stated that, “Music can be great. The Sex Pistols are the greatest.” Never Mind The Bollocks, This is The Sex Pistols topped the UK charts when it was released in 1977, and included hits such as “Anarchy in the UK” and “God Save the Queen” – it was also the only studio album the group ever recorded. Look out for the LP re-release later this year, although the acquisition does not include a re-release in the United States.
