Rube Goldberg meets Top Gear in OK Go‘s latest musical lap around the indie track as the band indulges their known obsession with homemade single-shot music video choreography in this sensational collaboration with Chevrolet. This video involved over 1000 instruments methodically placed over two miles of Los Angeles desert, a Chevy Sonic outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms to play the instruments, four months’ preparation, and four days to shoot. Driven by a band member (who took professional stunt driving lessons), each piano had its lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they’d play the right note no matter where they were struck, and Gretsch provided the guitars.
