Nike Sportswear’s 2012 “Track & Field” collection is meant to reflect the brand’s roots in the 1970s. Founded by Oregon track and field coach Bill Bowerman, the company started out as a small operation revolving around running footwear before expanding into the sportswear giant it is today. The new collection highlights the likes of Athletics West, Steve Prefontaine and the rebellious nature of the period era with reissues of old classics alongside military-inspired designs. Featuring everything from the Cortez and Air Max 1 to patriotic T-shirts, terry cotton hoodies and reflective outerwear, the 2012 “Track & Field” collection is now available at select NSW retailers.
