While it has been 30 years since his death, Bob Marley’s contributions to Jamaican music continue to make an impact and inspire those who still listen today. Directed by Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland), Marley shares Bob Marley’s personal life and beliefs through interviews with family and friends, as well as never-before-seen footage, picturing the singer as an idealist person with his own notions of spiritual and political values along with his use of cannabis. The film was premiered at the 2012 Berlin Film Festival and set to hit next month’s SXSW Festival, which will run it from March 8-13. Check out the trailer up above. Marley is set to release April 20.
