After publicly stating that she may not follow-up her debut album Born To Die because she really has nothing else to say, it appears that may be because ever-popular songstress Lana Del Rey has already written enough music for two more albums. Ferdy Unger-Hamilton, president of Del Rey’s label Polydor, recently disclosed that the talented signer-songwriter has plenty stocked up to where she can release a deluxe edition of Born To Die, as well as another legitimate project, if she chose to. Hamilton also notes that her career would have “been a disaster” if she hadn’t had a strong reserve tank to combat her initial hit “Video Games.”
“This all started because of the power of a song. As we speak, ‘Video Games’ has spent eight or nine weeks in the UK Top 20. This project would have undoubtedly been a disaster with that much attention if she didn’t have 60 or so songs written when we signed her.”
