With a full-length album due out later this year, the Kendrick Lamar camp had spent a brief stint outside of the spotlight until recently revealing that the California-based rapper was clocking in some heavy studio time with none other than Pharrell Williams. Today, the Compton native advances a cut titled “Cartoon & Cereal.” Although it is unclear if the song is a foreshadow of the forthcoming full-length’s tracklist, Lamar takes a decidedly different approach offering fans a slightly mind-bending and ethereal amalgam of beats, sounds and samples.
