Ferrari has finally revealed first images and details of their 599 successor officially named the F12 Berlinetta. Featuring a 6.2-liter (6262cc) 65 degree naturally-aspirated V12 engine delivering 740 HP (544 kW / 730 bhp), which translates to a specific output of 118 HP/liter, the Berlinetta has been described as “the most powerful and high-performance Ferrari road car ever launched.” For performance, the monster of the road accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.5 seconds. Amongst the other new amenities is the F1 dual-clutch unit, Rosso Berlinetta three-stage finish, and an all-new aluminum spaceframe chassis and bodyshell. The result is a a very compact car with a lower center of gravity that is further back in the chassis. The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta officially makes its debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 6.
