High fidelity audio retailer Bowers & Wilkins has announced a plethora of new releases for its Mini Theater series. Centered around the new M-1 compact monitor and PV1D subwoofer, the new releases offer users enhanced full-range performance in a sleek, powerful package. The M-1 loudspeaker ($250 USD) features all-new drive units, including an in-house designed tweeter and a bass/mid-range driver that uses the new Anti-Resonance Plug first seen on the high-end PM1 loudspeaker, thus allowing the M-1 to act as the key component of a 5.1 surround setup or as a standalone stereo. The PV1D ($1700 USD), on the other hand, now includes a dynamic EQ circuit and has moved over to the digital platform developed for the DB1, thus allowing +/-3db specification of a 7.5Hz output. Finally, the brand’s popular ASW608 subwoofer ($500 USD) is now available in the same matte white finish as the M-1. When purchasing an entire Mini Theater, the MT-60D ($2950 USD) couples the PV1D with the upgraded M-1s while the more affordable MT-50 partners the M-1s with the ASW608 subwoofer. The entire Mini Theater will be available soon at Bowers & Wilkins retailers.
