Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon teams up with Affinity Cycles to design three custom bikes to be auctioned
Wu-Tang Clan‘s Raekwon teams up with Affinity Cycles to design three custom bikes to be auctioned off. Recognizable by the rap group’s black and yellow, the proceeds from the sale of the bikes will go toward helping those affected by Hurricane Sandy and as such, the bikes are painted with some of New York City’s hardest hit areas: Staten Island, Rockaway, Red Hook and Coney Island.
On the technical side, the base is an Affinity Kissena frame with custom 88mm carbon rims hand-laced to Gran Compe hubs. The winner of each bike will be able to choose their size as well as either tubular or clincher rims. They can also expect some of the following parts: an Affinity R/T crank set, a Truvativ bb, Tange track bars, a Thomson stem and seat post, All City track grips, a Fizik Arione saddle, a FSA headset, Conti tires, Mks pedals and clips, and Toshi double straps.
The three bikes, New York City (shown here), Staten Island, and Rockaway are currently available for bidding on eBay until December 14.
