Joining Nike‘s Engineered Mesh takes on classics like the “Infrared” Air Max 90, “Neon” Air Max 95 and “Silver Bullet” Air Max 97 is a lightweight, ventilated EM edition of the OG “University Red” colorway of the Air Max 1. Pairing a white mesh upper with Max Air cushioning, a solid white midsole and black rubber outsole, this contemporary version of the late ’80s Tinker Hatfield-designed runner sees University Red accents on the mudguard and “Nike Air” branding at the tongue and heel. The Nike Air Max 1 Premium EM “University Red” is now available online from Berlin’s Overkill.
