Japanese design firm Torafu Architects presents the AA Stool. Made from 2×4 Canadian red cedar wood modules with legs which have been cut at a slight diagonal angle on both ends, the combination of these simple “A-letter” profile components allows the furniture piece to stand while at the same time providing support for the seat of the stool. In its entirety the set is comprised of two stools which can be arranged with one another to create a single unit – while the stacking and lining up can create longer bench formations – and can just as easily be laid flat for compact storage.
