Readers may recognize the name Niia from Wyclef’s 2007 track “Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill),” which also featured Lil Wayne and Akon, but now the New York songstress is steadily working on her own upcoming EP, and today she lets loose its first single “Libertine Hero.” Produced by Sterling Fox, the somber tune is a prime example of the pop/jazz-fused sound that the project has promised. Niia’s upcoming EP is currently set to release sometime in December, but for now stream/download the track below, and stay tuned for the release of her second single “Made For You,” which will be accompanied by a video by American History X director, Tony Kaye.
