A new album from The Black Keys is on the horizon, with the American duo confirming that it’s “definitely gonna happen next year.” Speaking to CBS Local, drummer Patrick Carney divulged the information on a 2013 release after they’ve completed their touring schedule this year, stating:
“It [an album] is definitely gonna happen in 2013. It’s just a matter of how long it takes us to make the album and deciding when we want to get back on the road. We’re going to start making a new album in January and we’re going to tour a little more in the spring. Our plan is the have the new album done by the end of spring or earlier, then hopefully take a few months off to do normal things like go to bed early and wake up early, walk the dog, that kind of stuff. Then we’ll probably be back on the road starting next fall.”
The Black Keys will be heading to the UK and Ireland to play six dates in December, the locations of which can be found below as well as ticket information.
