Nike LeBron X "Championship Gold"

As the Miami Heat begin their NBA title defense tonight at AmericanAirlines Arena against the Boston Celtics, LeBron James will take the court in a special “Championship Gold” edition of his signature Nike LeBron X as he, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and co. receive their championship rings. Donning a metallic gold Hyperfuse upper with red and white Heat “Home” accents throughout, the kicks see metallic gold speckling on both the white midsole and icy outsole while “MVP” and “CHAMP” graphics appear on the medial sides of each sneaker. Finally, as a nod to King James’ historic performance in last year’s NBA Playoffs, the number of points the reigning regular season and Finals MVP scored in the postseason appears alongside the left shoe’s “MVP” detailing. The Heat and Celtics square off tonight at 8 p.m. EDT as they kick off their 2012-2013 NBA campaigns.
