Set amongst 500 acres sprawling of cattle pasture near the small town of Kilmore, Australia is the Kilmore House by architectural firm Intermode. A ranch-style residence, the Kilmore House is unique in that it boasts a completely modular design. Based on a design brief calling for three distinct zones, the layout features three pavillions: the first encapsulating living and dining rooms with guest accomodations, the second accommodating the master bedroom, and the third accommodating a children’s play area with bedrooms. The three pavilions are linked together with extensive decking and open up to the surrounding environment with large, open windows. The Kilmore House showcases how modern design can be achieved without breaking the bank.
