Essentials: Kestin Hare of Common People
Advancing our introspective Essentials series, we showcase the everyday necessities of Common

Advancing our introspective Essentials series, we showcase the everyday necessities of Common People’s Founder Kestin Hare. As a student in college, Hare was never the best at cutting patterns, so he began to experiment with design by altering vintage pieces from Dior blazers to rare WWII pieces. Following a stint at clothier Reiss, the England resident landed a position under the tutelage of Nigel Cabourn where he would eventually become Cabourn’s right hand man for several years as the Head of Design. Cabourn took Hare under his wing teaching everything from sourcing fabric and trim, to all he needed to know about their shared passion for heritage garbs. Eager to fuse his love of vintage and quality menswear into something of his very own, Hare parted ways with Nigel and created Common People. His brand is designed for people with a common interest in premium quality menswear which focuses on craftsmanship and local sourcing. Still in its first few seasons, we’re all anxious to see Kestin Hare and Common People evolve to the level of stardom they both so deserve.
